NATO the U.S. global weapon: Putin signs security paper labeling NATO as threat to Russia

The updated national security document says that NATO's expansion in eastern Europe is a threat to Russia's borders.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is a threat to Russia according to new national security document signed and approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin Thursday.

The document, which is updated every six years, said that the recent expansion push from the NATO in territoires close to Russia was threatening Russian security and interests.

"The buildup of the military potential of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and vesting it with global functions implemented in violations of norms of international law, boosting military activity of the bloc's countries, further expansion of the alliance, the approach of its military infrastructure to Russian borders create a threat to the national security," the document said.

The paper argued that Russia's "independent domestic and foreign policy" has triggered a "counter-action" from the United States and its allies.

Albania and Croatia joined NATO in 2009. In 2011, the alliance recognized four aspiring members - Bosnia, Georgia, Macedonia, and Montenegro.

The paper further said that NATO members were striving to dominate global affairs.

Comment: NATO "members" are continually coerced and blackmailed into playing their part for this U.S. owned global NATO bully - their economies, societies or even leaders are pressured (terrorism is a card sometimes played) to keep them in line and the people in fear. The U.S. directs and owns NATO, it is a corporate military industrial complex and central bank delivery system, and it needs enemies and people to fear same.

Relations between Russia and NATO reached an all time low over the Ukrainian crisis after Russian ally and former President Viktor Yanukovych was ousted in 2014 and the reunification of the Crimea region with Russia, which angered NATO.

The new government in Ukraine, led by Western-backed Petro Poroshenko, is seeking to join the European Union and NATO in an attempt to defend the country from what it calls a westward Russian expansion.

Comment: NATO is famous for creating conditions for political coups d'etat, a specialty of theirs when they demand change. The people of Ukraine were and are subjected to a NATO/U.S. front that utilized people like George Soros and Victoria Nuland to facilitate this coup.

Also, last month NATO member Turkey downed a Russian warplane after claiming it was in Turkish airspace. The move was supported by NATO despite the Russian challenge to Ankara's claim.
