About 40% of Palestinian children arrested by Israeli forces were sexually molested, a human rights group has revealed.
The report added that 100% of the children were tortured, a finding that confirms previous reports by the Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel (Adalah).
Jewish wardens also threatened children with “raping their fathers and raping their mothers and sisters,” noted Adalah in its press release.
The wardens seemed to take pleasure in stripping Palestinian girls naked and then repeatedly strip-searching them, a practice reportedly conducted with an alarming frequency and beyond any apparent necessity.
Any child who refused to be subjected to such humiliation was “violently assaulted by the wardens,” Adalah said.
